The exterior electrical compartment is well-organized and a standardized electrical components offer the ultimate flexibility for all electrical features ordered on the bus.
| The D3FE Front Engine driver's compartment updates include moving the engine hood to the right for more driver's egress, marine grade material on the engine hood, and a full wraparound design to keep switches within the driver's reach at all times.

Access to the front engine area includes a pantographing front grille with LH and RH side compartments that swing away to provide complete access to the engine compartment for maintenance and service.

Access to the rear engine compartment is through a large pantographing engine compartment door, as well as through the LH side access door.

The rear emergency door on the front engine product includes bonded glass for added strength, and a concealed hinge to minimize exposure and corrosion.
